- Been feeling off the past few days. I knew my depression was hitting hard when there was this moment today where I was tremendously sad while walking back to my apartment with a whole ass pizza in my hand
- Was really good to meet up with Chad and Alex. Good people and good times all around
- Tried taking Caltrain to work today and it wasn’t bad! The best part was stopping by Taco Bell for a Crunch Wrap Supreme on the way back 🤤
- Was talking to a friend on the phone and neither of us could remember the last time we chatted on the phone, heh
- Heard some good news from the landlord so I decided to push my luck by eating the chicken tender I left in the oven… from a while ago. Will see if this risky move is worth it
- Finally able to spend a peaceful day with Ian after two weeks. Impromptu (and awesome) movie night with Exhuma!
- Been putting off yoga but it was so nourishing to finally be able to stretch my body!
- Life is so, so fragile, it’s so important to cherish those around you.
- At lunch I thought about quiet Kevin. I wonder how he’s doing
- I unblocked so many things at work today. Part of me wonders if it’s because my boss is out
- A good thing about going on walks is how random memories from long ago would come up and accompany you for a bit
- It’s good to see Ian make jokes and be his silly self
- it’s so, so nice to catch up with Becky and Steven, over food and board games no less
- So glad to finally be able to go for a run now that the rain is done (for now)
- Sometimes I’m reminded of how an old coworker would ask “Do you not care?”, and how I now also think that during meetings where I’m clearly just talking to myself (and into blank boxes) the entire time
- Got some major compliments from a couple managers, not that I was fishing for them or anything! (But also maybe I was 🎣)
- Chris wanted to talk to that pretty girl two tables over, and I was as useful as a brick
- Of course things are turned upside down. This week feels like 20 days long, yet again
- I was stressed to the brim today — Ian was kind and patience and I did what I had to do to survive
- Finally able to go to IKEA and wrapped up some errands around the apartment. So nice to finally be able to have coffee out on the balcony!
- I know it’s sacrilege, but I really enjoy Saag Paneer with tortilla chips
- My life is so different nowadays that it’s especially nice to get email updates from an old friend
- I’m such a people pleaser that it genuinely bothers me when people don’t see eye to eye. “It’s like Survivor”, I said to a manager
- How did all this work just fell on me? All my regular stuff had to move aside, no bueno man
- Glad the presentation went well today! Felt so relieved immediately afterwards
- Fridays aren’t meant to be this busy, yet here we are
- We had a really nice hike on the Tafoni trail and saw the massive sandstone
- it was good to have soy beans sautéed clams from my dad again. I can’t remember the last time he made that
- Even though my day was filled with meetings, I’m glad to see Ian is happy doing his own thing and enjoying his day
- Had some extra time so I walked to the caffe macs kinda far away. Soup got cold but the walk was great
